Agent Upgrade Button Not Working

Good Morning. 

 

I am trying to upgrade the agent on several of our Android Enterprise devices. I have not been able to upgrade using the button. I will select upgrade and upgrade now instead of start on schedule. I will get a message that says "Upgrade Agent Action has been sent to device" The message is a success message. When I go to check the agent version, it remains the same. Is there an extra step I need to do in order to upgrade the agent?

 

Soti Cloud version 14.4.6

Current agent on tablet: 14.1.4.1010

Trying to update to Agent Version 14.5.4.1016 

 

Settings Manager app 15.0.1 requires to have Agent 14.4.7 or higher to use. 

 

I have been able to upgrade it using a profile package. But I need to be able to upgrade one specific device. What is the best way to do this?

If you have successfully upgraded a device with a Package based Profile then why wouldnt you just use the assignment to specifically target one device?

If i remember correct, Soti said this is a feature only working on Andorid Classic but not on Android Enterprise but i could be wrong. The "Update Agent" Button here never worked. Everytime used a package/profile or directly via playstore (always the newest version).

Our current profile has over 500 devices assigned. Is there a way to assign a profile update to just one device? I'd like to make sure the latest agent works across all of our device types before pushing it out to every device. I hope this makes sense and thank you very much for your help!

I think this is only possible with a second profile.
