Android Device name Macro

Android Device name Macro

Greetings all !

Anyone using multiple macros for the device name on the Android platform ? Our current fleet (windows CE) use the following

%REG://HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\Intermec\SSClient?VN=UniqueID%

How would we get new device enrolling, with 2 macros (name+serial) in the android world ?

When I called in and asked about this, I was sent this link

https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v14.1/en/console/other/macros.html

But its no help.. :-(

Any advise ?  cheers !

For the serial number you may use %SERIALNUM%

What do you mean by "name"?

So I tried 2 things so far

%SERIALNUM%%PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME%  and also with + %SERIALNUM+PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME%

Both only displaying the serial #

Hi Seb777,

What about if you try %PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME% by itself, does it resolve for you?

Also, try putting a space between the 2 Macros ie.  %SERIALNUM% %PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME%

Hi Seb,

Any space between macros in the device naming pattern for any Android Add-Devices rule is not mandatory.

The marco  %PERSONALIZED_DEVICE_NAME% should be supported for Android device agent  v13.3.0.3690 or later.  The macro may return nothing for some device brands and models.
