Have you checked to see if the device has performed a successful MDM check-in since your App Catalog change? Also regarding MDM Check-in, you can utilise a device action called "Update MDM Profile" on v14.2 and above. That will then submit a request and then once you see "Device Check-in (MDM Client) Completed", check your device.
