Does MobiAssist have a tool similar to the file explorer in the Legacy Remote Control?
Hello Kenny - Yes, when you remote control a device with HTML5 (SOTI Assist) you will get an option called File, through which you can access the file system of the device.

You are right. There currently seems to be no solution to do file upload in the File-Explorer tool in html5-based remote control within Soti Assist. That's why I currently tend to use the conventional remote-control session with plug-in most of the time. Even when there is no device skin available to support hardware key events, the other value-added tools bundled do help a lot in many ways. Maybe you can share more information on why you can't have your conventional remote-control session up, and let's see if anyone can help on that.
Regarding Soti-Assist remote-control session, just hope other forum moderators from Soti can give you more fruitful answer that accurately address the problem you've clearly stated in your post.
When I try to use the Legacy Remote control, the window pops up it does the download of the skin. When the window pops up it says Disconnected and you can not interact with. After several seconds the window disappears. The computer that it is installed on is only used for Soti and it is only used for a few weeks int March/April and a couple of weeks in June. The computer is then put into storage until the following March. Updates are turned off. Everything was working when we shut it down last June. The only thing I have done is update our License. Our system and SOTI are running on a separate VLAN just for us. I have checked with the customer and they say they have not modified anything that should SOTIs functionality. I know that isn't much informationto go on.
Has there been any MS Windows patches applied and any firewall rules modified? Have you tried disabling the Windows firewall to ensure no traffic for the remote-control is blocked?
Also, the plug-in installed on the computer may be outdated, especially if your server have been upgraded. To fix, quit all your existing web-browser sessions and then go to Control Panel->Program sand try to uninstall all existing Soti plug-in(s) related to "Soti Remote Control Service". Reboot your computer, and log into the web-console and start a remote-control session. The latest remote-control plugin will be downloaded and installed. Let's see if you still have problem.
