How to wipe a Windows device through Soti MobiControl ?

Looking to be able to wipe a device from the Soti MobiControl portal. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Thank you for your response. I wish someone had explained that to me when I got started. I am going to switch enrollment as you mention and contact Support if I have issues.

Thanks for providing an update.

For our use case , we need the device to be enrolled as a Modern device so that script should work and right now it is enrolled as windows desktop classic which is not a kind of right platform type for our windows os 10 device. We do support both PowerShell and SOTI legacy scripts for Windows 10 devices enrolled as a Modern device.
 
For your information as Windows Classic and Windows Modern offer almost similar features on different platforms.

Windows Desktop Classic platform is to manage devices running Windows 8.1 or earlier. 
Windows Modern platform is to enroll and manage devices running Windows 10 or Windows Phone 8 and later.

The devices are all Windows 10 version enrolled as Windows Desktop Classic

In that case, kindly confirm os version of your window laptop device and also confirm if it enrolled as windows modern device  in Soti?

This does not seem to work for Windows Laptop wipe, only Windows mobile wipe. Can you help direct me to a script that will wipe a Windows Laptop device?

I noticed that when I went into the Send a Script for the device that there was a drop down, so I should be able to use this correct?

Thanks for requesting an answer from Soti!!

Kindly let me know if you have tested with below mentioned scripts for your windows mobile devices  If not then Kindly try to test with mainly reset /W to check with your test device and let us know outcome.

I am also mentioning some other scripts  combinations for your reference which can be used with reset.

 

reset

Performs a soft or hard reset of the device.

reset [/S | /H | /W | /E] [/delaysec]

Where

  • /S is the default option and soft resets the device. Any desktop remote control sessions will also be terminated.
  • /H is used to hard reset a device running on the Windows Pocket PC or Windows CE platforms. It clears any data stored in the volatile memory. On Windows Mobile 5.0 and later devices this is equivalent to a soft reset. The real-time clock may also reset depending on the device make and model.
  • /W is used to wipe data stored on the device and reset the device to factory default settings.
    Note: The wipe command is only supported on the Windows Mobile 5 operating system with AKU2 or later and newer versions of Windows Mobile.
  • /E is used to wipe data stored on the device and its external storage as well as reset the device to factory default settings.
