Has anyone else had problems enrolling Huawei MediaPad T3 using the agent “Huawei Mate”
When I try to enroll, it says the agent is not compatible.
Thanks

Try the Huawei agent downloadable at
http://download.soti.net/apk/v1350/Huawei/HuaweiMobiControl1350_1420.apk
If it is also reported to be incompatible, then your only option will be to use Android Enterprise agent, which is actually the case for many Huawei device models released in the last 6-12 months. If you use the device in Android Enterprise managed device mode (with similar use case and policies as Android+) , you have to factory reset your device and change its mode by typing afw#mobicontrol when being prompted for Google account, and also have MGPA or MGA account set up at Google AE portal and AE Add-Devices rule added beforehand.
I do have the same incompatible message for Huawei p20 lite
can you give me some information about the agent that I have to download,
I haven't tested this device myself.
You can try either
http://download.soti.net/apk/v1351/Huawei/HuaweiMobiControl1351_1044.apk
or
http://download.soti.net/apk/v1351/Huawei/HuaweiMobiControl1351Mate_1044.apk
If both Android+ agents are incompatible with your hardware, your only option is probably to use Android Enterprise agent.
Hello James
I enrolled my Huawei T3 with Huawei Mate Agent, its connected to the main srver but does not take and policies to the device, its just connected telling its not compatible. in matter of fact my mobicontrol is version 14 and this Mate agent is 13.51.
so you and I need version 14.16, i wonder if SOTI have this Agent version.
As of today, there hasn't been any v14.x MobiControl device agent released for any device. All v14.x Mobicontrol servers still work with v13.5 or v13.6 device agents.
There are only two Android+ agents for Huawei - Generic and Mate. If neither is reported to be compatible with your device, then your remaining option is to use Android Enterprise device agent. Period. According to the Android Enterprise device catalog maintained by Google, Huawei Mediapad T3 (7 -and 10-inch) is supported. I wouldn't hesitate to use Android Enterprise agent with this or any compatible Huawei model, as the features offered are much better than those offered by Huawei Android+ agent.
If device is shown in web console, then the agent is compatible with the device.
However, if the agent is shown as incompatible in the console, that means the agent is not in the database and what you need is to inject the agent in the database. After doing that, it will be shown compatible and profiles will apply.
It is irresponsible to tell someone to do device agent injection if nothing is known about the device model/agent statistics of the device brand associated with the server instance of interest. In general, if there are multiple agent versions compatible to the server instance being used for a particular OEM brand, it may be justifiable to perform injection only if the majority of the devices of that brand have to use the device agent to be injected. Otherwise, majority of devices may be affected to cater for much small number of other devices.
In addition, end user should confirm that the device agent to be injected is actually compatible with the server instance, otherwise all devices of the brand of interest will have enrollment/control issues.
Finally, most administrators do not have the knowledge how to do device agent injection, and what to do if things get worse.
