Installation aborted by install script
As all your thousands of devices are the same model and have the same profiles installed without problem, is it possible that these 20-30 problematic devices have intermittent communication problem during the package deployment?
Have you tried manual device check-in and re-installation of the problematic package on these 20-30 devices?
Yes, we've tried the manual device check-in and when I try to re-install the package I get this message in the logs:
Package "New VTR" version 1.0 failed to install. Installation aborted by install script
Profile "VTR 2018-04-19" version 1 failed to install
This is where we are stuck. I have no idea what the install script is or why it's failing.
If the problem persists after repeated retries on the same devices, maybe you should check if these 20-30 devices have different firmware versions/build numbers or different device agent versions/build numbers from the other thousands of devices that work.
Did you get your mentioned log message from the server log file or from the log file on the devices?
What is version/build number of your MobiControl server?

I got my log file from the device itself.
As far as I can tell all the devices that aren't working are using the same Agent Version of the devices that ARE working which is 22.214.171.12468 and they are all the same platform (Windows Mobile) OS Version (5.2) and Model (MC67ND).
Our MobilCointrol Build is 126.96.36.19991
