Manage User Security

Manage User Security

Hi,

I want to give permission to allow customers to create users but not let them see and edit users of other customers, how do I do this?

Hope there is a workaround for this problem.

Many thanks!

As far as I know, permission control in the latest MobiControl still doesn't support what you need, which is typical in a multi-tenant EMM implementation.  Any administrator with the permission to add/remove  new user (whether he/she is a super-administrator, a restricted administrator, or just a device/self-service-portal user)  will have total permission control over ALL users on the MobiControl server instance.

Hi Kenny,

To add to Raymond's excellent response. Within "Users & Security", the only related permission is "Manage User Security". There aren't sub permissions for this section within MobiControl Web Console, therefore more streamlined control such as your example is not possible at the moment. However, In theory, you could utilize our API via https://FQDN/MobiControl/api in order to achieve this.

Alternatively, you're welcome to raise a Feature Request via support@soti.net for this functionality within MobiControl. We can then track this internally and evaluate the possibility of a feature tackling this use case in the future.

Also In V15, we've focused more on Granular Permissions, if you're interested in knowing more, navigate to https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/release-notes/ and search "Granular"
