New Devices not displayed / moved Device remain old folder

I have a problem with the Soti MobiControl webconsole

New devices are not displayed, but rules and profiles get the devices
When I move a device to another folder, the device remains in the old folder in Web console, and rules and profiles are dragged from new folders.

What is the problem here?

Thank you for posting in SOTI Central.


Sounds like you're suffering from a Search Service Integrity issue. I will detail the standard steps in order to resolve the problem.


Method 1 - Firstly navigate to Global Settings -> "MobiControl Search Sync Interval" then click "Sync Now" and press "Refresh" until the sync has completed. Then look at the Integrity %, if it doesn't hit 100% after a few times then try the below steps.


Method 2 - Stop your Search Service within MCAdmin then navigate to C:\Program Files\SOTI\MobiControl\Search and rename the "Data" folder to "Data_1", then start the Search Service and perform Method 1 again.


Once the Integrity reflects 100%. If this post resolves the problem, please mark this post as the solution. If you have any questions or need clarification feel free to reach out.

If you are using MobiControl v14+ server,  maybe the data cached in the MobiControl search module is not updated/in-sync with the latest data in your MS-SQL database.


What are the version and build numbers of your MobiControl server?


You can force a search module resync /refresh in the tab " All-Plaforms -> Servers -> Global-Settings -> MobiControl Search Sync Interval", and see if you can see the missing information after the update.
