Hello brian,

which device are you using and is it android + or android entreprise enrollment ?

I'm not an expert but on home screen it's a short cut ..not sure that a script exist for this

but you can transfer the file to the sdcard and perhaps IF you have a lockdown add a short cut ..-> setting locate in lockdown

Christophe is  right.  It should be a file shortcut on homescreen for Android device platorm.  In fact, there is an Android "intent" that can be used to create such file shortcut.

MobiControl does have the "sendintent" script command to support "intent" for Android device platform.  Many different parameter types and options associated with different intents are supported.  Unfortunately,  for the "create file shortcut" intent",  this MobiControl script command does not seem to have a way to pass the parameter related to icon image resource (i.e. the pdf icon associated with the pdf viewer app used to open your pdf file).  I'm still looking for more online documentations and/or workarounds on how to pass/skip such resource.    Maybe some experts from Soti can give a solution right away.
