Hi Anas,

Thanks for the information.

Please try the below script, if successful then you can use it as a post-install script in your File Sync Rule. However, there is a chance it won't work if the device is encrypted:

install_system_update /sdcard/honeywell/autoinstall/filename.zip

Otherwise you can try the sendintent command: The sendintent Command (soti.net)

Kind regards,

Hi Anas,

Make sure the original filename of the HON updates is unchanged. You can initiate the update using the intent below:

sendintent -b "intent:#Intent;action=com.honeywell.autoinstall.intent.action.INSTALL;S.InstallFiles=/storage/emulated/0/honeywell/HON660-O-86.00.17-(0129)_86.00.19-(0140).zip;launchFlags=0x1400020;end"

Or initiate a reboot with "reset /S" so that the upgrade is initiated by Autoinstall upon startup.

Good luck!

Are you sure about this? As far as I'm aware the install_system_update script was for executing .ZIP updates on Zebra devices, and not Honeywell. Has the script been updated in order to dynamically support different manufacturers?

Hi Matt,

Good question, I understand this script has worked on some Honeywell and Panasonic devices in the past. Otherwise, the sendintent command should suffice.

Kind regards,

Hi Anas,

Copy the File into this Folder and then Reboot the Device.

When you put an Full or Incremental Update Package or an APK file in this "Autoinstall" folder you must only reboot the Device.

After Rebooting is the Scanner installing / executiong the files in this Folder.

It works ;)

Hi,

that is intersting.

At the non GMS Device with the installed Android Version 81.01.10-(0090) / 81.01.08-(0077) and you put the PHOENIX-M-sd-81.01.12-(0110).zip into the Autoinstall Folder and reboot or check if you are able to install the Update with the Hoenywell app at the Device ?
