Server IP address not found

I have deployed an on premise version of MobiControl on a virtual machine. For some reason whenever I go to the enrolment link from the add device rule I get the error saying "server IP address could not be found".

I've made sure that the ports 443 and 5494 are open as well as ICMP so not sure what else could be the problem.

What is your enrollment link?  Does it include a private/public IP address or an FQDN or something else?

The link is https://vm372db62/Enroll/3

Sorry but I am not sure about any of those other things. My knowledge is less than basic when it comes to this.

vm372db62 is likely to be the host-name of your Microsoft Server running on the virtual machine.   Your MobiControl server was not installed properly.

Are you evaluating MobiControl with an evaluation license or implementing a production server with a paid license reg-code?

Go to Mobicontrol admin utility, replace "vm372db62" to private IP of your VM

There are many possible options other than using private IP of your VM.   Each will have different pros and cons, depending on your infrastructure, device platform(s) to be used, device use case(s), etc.   It would be irresponsible to give advice based on insufficient information.

It might not be very convenient for you to review all details on an open forum like this one.    Please consult Soti sales team if you are evaluating the software, or Soti technical support team if you are already using a production license.

Hi Benedict,

I changed all the addresses from the VM name to the IP and regenerated the deployment certificates. However now when I go to the mobicontrol login page it shows the following error:

Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from vm372db62 (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). Learn more

You cannot visit vm372db62 right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.
