Sodi Signal Strength Unit of Measure

Hello !

I am somewhat new to Soti and am developing custom reporting for our uses and am trying to figure out what unit of measure is being used to indicate "Signal Strength" in the reporting functions of Soti. Signal strength on a mobile phone is usally measured in Dbm I believe but using the pre-build reports Signal Strength shows as a figure between 1-100 with no indication as to whether 1 is strong or 100 is strong as well as what this number actually represents. I have reached out to Soti support several times and they have not been able to provide me with an answer...... Does anyone know the answer to this or could possibly point me in the correct direction!? Thank you so much in advance!!

I think you can get the DBM measure you're looking for if you'd rather use that:

Matt- thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I will dig into it and post back.

Hello Ryan,

Thank you for requesting an answer from SOTI Support Staff.

The Measure you are requesting clarification on seems to be the standard measure for signal strength of RSSI.

Here is a link to online article regarding this.

If you are still concerned that the measure is a proprietary one that is only applicable to SOTI, please let me know more about your devices, including the OS type and I can discuss this directly with the platform developers for 100% confirmation.

Cheers,
