Hello,

I am trying to add GMail to the list off apps that appear on the lockscreen in kiosk mode, but I can't find the path / Launch url for it. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Also, when the Lockdown profile is applied to a device, is there any way of enforcing a policy where updates to the Android OS are forbidden / ignored?

Thanks

Do you have a GMS version of Android or AOSP? You can find the Package Name by referencing the list of Installed Applications in MobiControl but only a GMS device will have a Gmail app pre-installed.

It's com.google.android.gm based on what I'm seeing.

Perfect, thank you.

I'd completely forgotten about the list of installed apps on the device.

Any ideas on preventing Android OS updates?

I have never used this setting so I can't speak to its efficacy, but there is an option under Feature Control, not Lockdown.

Assuming you're using Zebra devices there may be an alternative option to leverage the MX layer to accomplish the same result, but I would start with the Feature Control section.

Thanks.

Finally (sorry!), how do I successfully implement an internet whitelist?

I want to prevent users from accessing all but one specific website, and ensure that chrome (or the default browser) opens with that page when first run.

Hi, I've followed those instructions (installed Webroot's SecureWeb Browser etc), but when it comes to adding the actual web filter, I can't find it!

The instructions in the link you provided say:

To enable the Android Web Filter, right click a group or a single Android device, click Device Configuration. After the Device Configuration dialog appears, click Web Filter

But I do not get this option:

No Device Config

Doing some more reading, I found mention of an Android For Work Web Filter, but having followed those instructions, I still don't have the option available:

No Web Filter

Is this down to the type of SOTI license we have?
