I'm not able to understand your query on "barcode to search items in a list". Please be a little more elaborate so that we can understand your use-case and provide help to resolve your query.
Hello,
What we are trying to do is to read a barcode and find the item in a list that has that number as the primary key and show the information for that item.
Can you please let us know if the list of values is present under some external system or under SOTI Snap. And if its residing on an external system, how can that system communicate with SOTI Snap.
Have you already solved this? We are planning to use the snap and this is very interesting.
We are awaiting the response on the last question asked to Edgar, as that will help us answer the query in best way.
Hello,
The input data is in an Excel file that is imported into Soti Snap. The idea is to read the barcode, select the item whose primary key is the ba code and enter a quantity, and save this data in a google spreadsheet
Scanning the barcode and then querying the scanned value in some datasource imported using a Data-Import is not possible as of date and is also not planned down the line for next 6 months.
But we are in the process of adding the functionality to query of data residing on some remote server (exposed using REST API) based on the primary key fetched from barcode.
