Thanks for you reply. I have cross checked, most of my MDM devices running the Android System WebView 55.0.2883.91 which Mobicontrol agent installed 13.6. If I would like to update, only on enabling the Play Store?
Details:
SOTI Could: 14.2.1.4394
Android Device OS: 5.1.1
Mobicontrol Agent Version: 13.6
Android System WebView is running: 55.0.2883.91
My understanding is that the Surf browser will leverage the current System WebView implementation. The System WebView can either be the Chrome WebView or Android WebView, depending on the device type and which is currently set to the active System WebView in developer options. The WebView version is updated independently of Surf, typically via updates from Google Play. If the device is an older, non-GMS device then WebView updates have to come from the manufacturer in the form of a firmware update given that it is system component that you need to have updated.
Besides checking what is installed, you can also set your Surf configuration to point to the following URL in order to determine what WebView it is currently using:

Hi Koteeswaran,
Thank you for posting in SOTI Central.
SOTI Surf is currently based on Android Webview and not Chromium Webview. I recommend you check your web view version, you can do this by enabling Developer Options and enabling the "Webview Implementation" row.
If your Developer is utilizing features that are exclusively available on Chrome / Chromium Webview, then that's the reason for compatibility issues. Look into Android Webview API if possible.
Hope this helps, if this resolves your query please mark this post as the solution. If you have follow up questions feel free to reach out.
