Soti Surf Downloads

Hi,

 

I am running into an issue regarding downloading files/pdfs from our Sharepoint environment. When i press on the pdf, i get a message saying "Downloading..." which then changes to "Download Failed"

 

Under my profile that is assigned to the device i have configured the download location and have not disabled downloading of files

The Soti Surf build i am using is 15.0.0.1. Any insight on this would be great as this for critical usage

Can you please share the screenshot of the error message you get on the device while trying to download files. Please mention the MobiControl device agent version.

Have you tried using other device directory?  Have you checked the app permissions settings of your Soti device agent and Soti Surf?

Hi Raymond,

Permissions have been checked and are all fine. That directory works fine when i download the test PDF from w3.

Please confirm, if the download is failing only from your Sharepoint environment or every pdf download through SOTI Surf?

Hi DDMOD,

 

It is only from our 2007 Sharepoint environment. The powers above me decided to drop the use of Sharepoint now.

Hi Ashley,

It seems like the access to that particular website(2007 SharePoint) that has the download of the PDF is being restricted. Please place that server address or URL within the white list, and devices will then be able to access the files.

I've got the same problem here :

With Soti SURF :
Download PDF from a particular website that we use "Download Failed" (https://planningpme.fr)
Download PDF from elsewhere OK (ex : smartphone's datasheet from samsung official website)

 

With Google Chrome:

Download PDF from our particular website, or from elsewhere : OK

 

I don't find any notion of "whitelist" in the Soti Surf app profil. Is it somewhere else ?
