Hi Christopher !

Greetings of the day !

I have checked and reproduced the issue and you are right that SOTI Surf is designed only for websites with SSL certificates.

But I will update you again after contacting development team.

Thanks !

Though I'm not from Soti and cannot answer on their behalf, I would say it make sense that Soti Surf, being claimed as a secure browser for enterprise use, does not support less secure http protocol, which should be phased out in the future.  Actually many desktop browsers as well as enterprise grade networking infrastructure also have the same requirements of supporting access with at least https.

If you don't want to wait for Soti to commit to or refuse your informal feature request, one possible option maybe is to switch to Android Enterprise platform, and see if there are some third party browser that support the functions (may even be dynamically configurable with AppConfig compliant parameters from MDM server) offered by Soti Surf and allow http connect at the same time.
