Time picker in Soti Snap

Time picker in Soti Snap

Hi All,

Hopefully this is a really easy one and I am missing something really simple.

We have just got Soti Snap and I an trying to build a timesheet app.  I can insert a date picker field, but I cannot find a way of inserting a time picker field.

I am hoping to export data to google sheets and automate the wage calculation in there, but without a time picker it is difficult as the employye can enter time data in text box questions in a variety of formats.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Simon,

Since SOTI Snap is a fairly new product, we are always looking for constant feedback to add new features to it.

TimePicker field is not currently available and the workaround for that will be using a text box as you mentioned. I can understand sorting custom time entered by users in different formats will be difficult and time consuming but that is the only option at the moment.

I would recommend that you should create a case with SOTI Technical Support here and have a feature request added for this feature to be included in the product. If you already have an open case, please feel free to mention it to the technical support representative and they will be happy to create a feature request for you.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

That definitely will be a very useful feature. I'm also trying to create a similar app. I have a slight hiccup where I want my tech to click on the check-in button to log the start time and the check-out button to add end time. But it keeps creating new lines each time they do it. Is there a way to update the previous entry without adding a new line when they check out?

Hi Moe,

You can add the functionality to 'edit' a record in the list view which will update the same record instead of creating a new one.

Let's connect via email to discuss this in detail. I will PM you.

Thanks
