Ugrade Agent in Database

Hi 

I've just updated our environment to the version 14.1.3.1587.

This version has the Andoid Plus Agent 13.5.0 1327 included.

 

A newer Android Agent is available on soti.net/oem. Is there a way to update the Agent to the newest Version in the Database?

Hi Markus,

 

Yes, it is possible to upload newer versions of Android device agents to your database - this process is called an "Agent Injection".
You will need to need log a new Support Case and one of our Support agents will be able to assist you with the process.

Please note that each OEM brand can in principle has only one device agent active in the database.  If you have more than one device models or firmware versions for a particular OEM brand, and you need more than one device agent versions to cater for best performance of different device model/firmware combinations, then you likely should have the agent supporting the largest device group to be active in the database.  If this version happens to be the agent version already on the server,  you don't need to perform  any agent injection.  In such case,  you should look for other ways (e.g. file-sync rule to get the better agent to be remotely sent to the remaining devices) to handle the minority devices.
