I am using the web filter to block websites on chrome. It is working fine on version 99 and 100. 101 was released today and one of my test devices updated to 101 and the web filtering seems to be allowing everything through. Will web filtering still be supported?
What are the version and build numbers of your Android device firmware and device agent? Have your devices been enrolled using generic Android-Enterprise or OEM-specific legacy Android+ device agent?
If they are enrolled in Android-Enterprise device-owner or COPE mode, have you tried using AppConfig parameters to configure your Chrome?

I have a web filter on our profile that should block everything but 1 site we would like to approve and use chrome specifically with. This web filter works well with our older device models, but they are on the same SOTI agent.

Not sure saying here use surf is the answer he was looking for. And not I am running into the same thing. And I assure you I won't take use SOTI Surf as the answer. Just as Raymond answered above one can use BL/WL via the advanced configuration or the use of Web Filters in the Profiles. I use the Web Filters. I have to many different groups doing different jobs but might share the same Managed Playstore.
So is this a known issue to SOTI? If so do you have a fix in place?

I called SOTI Support and opened a case. The rep I talked to said there in an internal document saying they are aware there are issues with 101 and are working to resolve the issue. ( My guess it is more Googles side )

Thank you! I also emailed about this. Hopefully we can resolve it sooner than later. the web filter works well with older chrome and older devices.
Yes I agree. Sometimes it pays to have the older devices around so you can show the difference as in what is working and what just broke.

I have been checking the release notes for the Mobicontrol agents religiously once a week since I found out this was affecting my devices as well (webfiltering not working anymore once chrome updated beyond100) and am very anxious for Soti to release a fix. Hopefully this will happen sooner than later.
