Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Scanning disabled after enabling Location High Accuracy

Hi everyone, when I enable Location Accuracy with High Accuracy. Somehow the phone improve accuracy is disabled for Wi-Fi Scanning and Bluetooth Scanning.

1. Is there a ways to enable from SOTI Mobicontrol? I want to have High Accuracy + Wi-Fi Scanning and Bluetooth Scanning enabled at the same time. I can't find this option.

2. Is there a script to force enable High Accuracy without disabled the user devices for Wi-Fi Scanning and Bluetooth Scanning?

Hi Jacky,

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse.

I've just tested this on a Pixel device running the latest firmware. It looks like if you disable "Wi-Fi Scanning" and "Bluetooth Scanning" manually before applying a feature control with "High Accuracy", then they will stay off.

But at least for this device, both are enabled by default.

If you find your devices disables these by default, then I would suggest looking at upgrading your OS version as the default settings could have changed in recent releases.

It is indeed temporary to fix this issue. But too many manuals work. What if my samsung device do not have new updates available. I am still unable to control the function from SOTI mobicontrol.

Hi Jacky,

It's worth raising a feature request for greater control over the manual toggles. You can raise it through log a Case and cover these areas within the initial description:

1. What is the business problem – use real-life scenario(s) to describe the problem/pain points.​
2. Number of users impacted by this problem and how often.​
3. What is being done to work around this problem.​

For any devices that don't toggle them on by default, and if there is no way of changing it through the equivalent OEM Config. Then you would unfortunately need to toggle them on within the staging process manually until a different workflow is introduced.
