Hi

In our Envirronment the writesecurestring isnt supported for Devices with Android Enterprise.

It all worked without Android Enterprise.

 

Now i get the following Error:

I tied it with writesecuresetting -glo wifi_sleep_policy 2

Device: Zebra TC75x

OS: Android 7.1.2

 

Is the writesecuresetting not supported anymore? Do you have any idea to fix this issue?

As far as I know, this command is not supported in Android Enterprise (which is totally defined/controlled by Google), at least not for now.    We have to wait and see if this or other similar command(s) will be allowed by the platform owner (Google in this case) and supported in the future.

Hi Markus,

 

Please try to install the SOTI MDM Plugin for Zebra Android N devices:

 

Go to www.soti.net/oem > Android Enterprise > Manufacturer: Zebra Android N > Download

 

 

The plugin allows for access to more API's that are custom to MobiControl.

However, as stated by Raymond, it may currently not be supported but may see support in the future.

 

If the plugin does not work, I can confirm for you internally.
